Winning profile for Visa
- Good academic record-Over 60% aggregate in Class 10th and 12th and over 50% aggregate in subsequent tertiary qualification with minimal backlogs if any.
- IELTS score or equivalent score of TOEFL or PTE as per NZQA requirement.
- Students immediate family verifiable evidence of funds to meet the educational and living expenses in NZ-including paper trail explain any high value deposits in accounts.
- No more than two immediate family members as financial sponsors/guarantors.
- Verifiable evidence of regular source of sufficient income of financial sponsors/ guarantors.
- Intended course of study relevant to qualifications and/or work experience and shows education progression.
- Meet the health & character requirement.
Documents for Student Visa
- Completed application form & supplementary Information form.
- Visa application Fee.
- TT service fee.
- Original passport.
- Offer of place.
- Covering letter/SOP.
- Financial documents.
- Affidavit of support from sponsor.
- Academic documents.
- Evidence of English language ability-IELTS/TOEFL or PTE results.
- Employment documents, if applicable.
- Original police clearance certificate ( must be less than 6months old at the time of visa filling).
- E-medical acknowledgement of medical test from e-paneled doctor.
How much funds to be shown for student visa
- If the course duration is less than or equal to one academic year, then provide documentary evidence of funds for tuition fee for the entire course duration + NZ$ 15,000 towards living expenses in New Zealand.
- If the course duration of course is longer than one academic year then provide documentary evidence of funds for tuition fee for 01 academic year + NZ$ 15,000 per annum towards living expenses in NZ + payment plan to show the student has access to funds and has ability to meet the rest of the course cost and living expenses in New Zealand.
Acceptable Evidence of Funds
- Education Loan sanction letter from nationalized or multi nationalized bank.
- Latest bank account statements for the past 06 months. It should not be more than one week old at the time of lodgment of application.
- Fixed deposit copy and balance certificate from bank.
- PPF/PF/GPF withdrawal amount.
- Post office accounts.
- National savings certificates.
** Parents and only immediate relatives (blood relations) should ideally sponsor the student.
** The funds should be at least six months old. If recent funds are to be shown then documentary evidence in support of every instance of recent deposits should be provided. Recent funds are acceptable if visa is applied under the FTS with details of source of funds.
** Evidence of source of income and income to be provided of students financial guarantors and parents. The guarantor must provide documentary evidence of their identity including date of birth, proof of signature and full contact details including telephone numbers.
What can an acceptable payment plan include?
- Form 16 of the sponsor showing income and saving patterns.
- EPF or GPF accumulated over a period of 01 year.
- Fixed deposits.
- NSC due for maturity in the following year.
- LIC due for maturity in the following year.
** Please note that Immigration of New Zealand ( INZ ) do not accept land documents and /or property valuation as payment plan.
Application for Student Visa
Application for student visa can be done in following ways:
- Submission in hard copy of relevant forms and supporting documents along with passport at office of TT services.
- Application for student visa may also be done online by completing the online application form. All supporting documents need to be prepared in pdf format. An acceptable photo is required to be uploaded. Application fee can be paid via credit or debit card.(Visa, Master card)
After completing the online application, the passport needs to be submitted along with appropriate handling fee to Visa Application Centre. (TT services)
